WALK - AMBASSADORS' HOMES IN ROCKCLIFFE
MEET: 10:00 a.m. at Glen's house
Our RA Ski Club spies have uncovered a secret map showing where many of the ambassadors to Canada live. We'll walk to Rockcliffe Village and see where their homes are. After, we'll have lunch at the Tavern at the Falls. Total distance: 8 km.

Meet at 10:30 a.m. at P6 parking lot off Old Richmond Rd. (Stoney Swam West Green Belt). We will hike the trail and then have lunch at the Agha Turkish Restrauant - agharestaurant.ca located at 1 Roydon Place (near intersection of Hunt Club West and Merivale). Meet the group at P27 (just west of Green Creek) along the Sir George Etienne Parkway at 10:30 a.m. We will walk east along the Ottawa River trail and eventually take the upper bike path east to a lovely lookout (photo stop!) over the Ottawa River. Return to P27 for lunch in Canotek Industrial Park. Hike is 6 km. approx. Leader: Marie-Reine Fournier.

Enjoy a stunning view of the valley below from King Mountain. Meet leader Mike Dewing in P7 parking lot at 10:30 a.m. for a hike along trial 8 to Chmaplain Pkwy and from there up to King Mountain (6.6km. and elevation of 233 metres). Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy at the top.

HIKE - P12 to Western Cabin (Gatineau Park)
Meet hike leader Chris Hutton in the P12 parking lot on Meech Lake at 10:30 a.m. for a hike up trails 40 and 33, finishing at Western Cabin. Because it's uphill we'll take our time and take rest stops along the way. Bring a picnic lunch to eat at the cabin and enjoy a stunning view of the valley below. Possible refreshments after in Chelsea.

Due to rain forecast, the Wednesday Oct 22, 2025 hike is re-scheduled to Friday, Oct 24 starting at 12:30pm.
The later start time is due to parkways being closed to vehicles until noon.
We will visit the 4 cabins in Gatineau Park along Ridge Road. Meet at 12:30pm at the Keogan Shelter parking lot on Fortune Parkway

Meet at ticket desk at Museum of History at 10:30 a.m. The Gatineau Culture Trail is an urgan pathway that connects outdoor artworks, points of interest and exhibition and entertainment spaces (new artworks now available). We will lunch at the Murseum of History cafeteria. Parking - $13/daily maximum at museum. (distance - 5 km.)
