Cross Country Weekends 2010
Laurentians
Killington
Fri. Jan. 15 - Sun. 17, 2010
The Parc regional Dufresne (formerly the Far Hills & Val-David XC ski areas) is one of the largest and
most scenic cross-country ski centres in
Quebec. The 130 km of trails (80 km groomed), offer excellent skiing for all levels of
ability. Most trails are double-tracked, and many have an additional skating
lane. Some of the trails were cut by the legendary Jackrabbit Johannsen!
Alpine Skiers
This year we will be inviting downhillers to join the XC
group at the resort, and either ski downhill at one of the nearby hills
(Tremblant is a half-hour away, Mont Blanc 25 minutes, St. Sauveur 20 minutes, Chanteclair 15 minutes,
Belle Neige 10 minutes), or combine their trip with one day of XC and one day of
downhill.
Accommodation
The Auberge du Vieux Foyer, Val-David, Que., is in the Laurentians just over an
hour’s drive north of Montreal. After your day of skiing, enjoy the amenities of l’Auberge du Vieux Foyer: an
outdoor spa and sauna, outdoor skating (weather permitting), billiards, table tennis, or just sit by the fire
in the “salon”. For further info:
