CROSS-COUNTRY SKI LESSONS

The City of Ottawa offers some great ski lessons at the Cross-Country Ski School at Mooney=s Bay (off Riverside Drive and Ridgewood).  Lessons are for both adults and children.

The ski school offers ten different levels of classes: Classic (Introduction, Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, Help with Hills/Novice and Help With Hills/Intermediate) and Skating (Introduction, Novice, Intermediate and Advanced).  The Ski School has changing facilities, waxing rooms, and groomed trails on-site in Vincent Massey Park.

The five lessons (beginning the week of January 7, 2008) introduce beginners to the sport, and help the advanced skiers to improve their technique.  Lessons are either once a week, twice a week, or a Friday-to-Sunday, three-day accelerated course (starting 11 Jan./08).  Lessons are offered weeknights and weekends. The Ski School also offers skate ski lessons as well.
